Al Khelaifi mocks Juventus: “The Super League is dead, Real and Barcelona should ‘surrender’ just like Juve.”

The PSG and ECA president has revisited the project initiated by Andrea Agnelli in collaboration with the two major Spanish clubs: here are all the statements.

“The clubs that were involved know that I never mention their names, not even in the board meetings in a more private context. I always tell them, and I recommend it, that they can return to the ECA at any time; they can join the family, and they are welcome.

Juventus has already ‘surrendered‘ from the Super League project. Real Madrid and Barcelona should do the same because they have no choice. I am not against Barcelona or Real Madrid; I will not exclude anyone.”

This statement was made by Nasser Al Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain and also the ECA (European Club Association), in an interview with the Polish sports newspaper Meczyki. He adds,

“I am against any conflicts. I met with Joan Laporta and told him the same thing. If they want to fight, let them fight among themselves. We will not waste any more time on this issue; we have our things to do.”

On the Super League, UEFA, and Ceferin: “We want to grow, and the Super League today is simply a joke. It was dead even before it was announced. I call this idea a non-Super League. It’s a fact. We are united like never before. They wanted to divide us, but the opposite happened.

UEFA itself did an excellent job in stopping the Super League. In this regard, we must also thank the contribution of Aleksandar Ceferin,” Al Khelaifi concluded.
