Lautaro Martinez’s agent says there is a real possibility that the striker will stay with Inter ‘for life,’ but also, there is a possibility that some day the club will boost the club’s finances.
The World Cup champion is currently tied to San Siro until June 2026, and is now engaged in discussions for a potential contract extension with the club’s management.
His agent Alejandro Camano expressed confidence in the negotiations, talking to TV Play, “Our relationship with Inter is built on trust. I believe we will be able to strike a good deal for both sides, Inter and Lautaro. I like Inter’s mindset that Lautaro could remain here for the entirety of his career. But in football you never know, maybe the club will want to cash in some day”
Despite these considerations, all parties involved seem content with the current situation, particularly following Inter’s recent achievement in reaching the Champions League Final.
“Lautaro’s goal is to continue with Inter, he feels a special relationship with the club and being the captain makes him really proud. He really loves his life in Italy too, and when he is happy like this my job is really easy” Camano concluded.
At 26 years old, Lautaro Martinez, initially acquired from Racing Club Avellaneda in 2018 for €25 million, now commands a market value easily four times that amount. In the ongoing season, he has impressively contributed 14 goals in 16 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League.
