Carly Simon, the iconic singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the 1970s, continues to inspire with her remarkable journey through the music industry and her personal battles with cancer.

Simon quickly became a superstar with her debut album in 1971, featuring hits like “That’s the Way, I’ve Always Heard It Should Be.”

Her illustrious career includes a Grammy Award and her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. However, the joy of her Hall of Fame induction was marred by the loss of her sisters, Joanna and Lucy Simon, who both succumbed to cancer only a day apart.

Reflecting on the loss of her sisters, Simon shared with Deadline, “I am filled with sorrow to speak about the passing of Joanna and Lucy Simon. Their loss will be long and haunting. As sad as this day is, it’s impossible to mourn them without celebrating the incredible lives that they lived.”
