This puppy was found in a trash can, left to die. Now he is getting a second chance in life.

In a heartbreaking incident, Oscar, a French bulldog puppy, was callously discarded by a breeder due to his health issues. Fortunately, a compassionate broker intervened, rescuing Oscar from a trash bin and swiftly seeking medical assistance.

Oscar was then taken under the care of Macโ€™s Mission, a dedicated rescue organization in Jackson, Missouri. Upon arrival, Oscarโ€™s condition was critical, with severe infections, low blood sugar levels, and malnutrition. Despite these challenges, Oscarโ€™s resilient spirit began to shine through as he received intensive care and treatment.

However, Oscar faced a setback in his recovery when his heart murmur worsened significantly from grade 2 to grade 4/5 out of 6, as reported by Rochelle Steffen, the rescueโ€™s founder. Despite this alarming development, Macโ€™s Mission remains unwavering in their commitment to Oscarโ€™s well-being, rallying support from their community to cover his escalating medical expenses.

Recent updates from Macโ€™s Mission indicate that Oscar is now transitioning to an overnight foster care arrangement and is scheduled to consult with a cardiologist to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for his heart condition.

Despite the hardships he has endured, Oscar is now on a hopeful path towards a brighter future, thanks to the compassion and dedication of those who rescued him and continue to support his journey to recovery.
