The revelation behind the absence of the Princess of Wales’s husband during her cancer diagnosis video has recently surfaced. Seated in solitude on a bench at Windsor Castle, Kate Middleton disclosed her preventive chemotherapy in a poignant message.
According to insider reports shared with People magazine, the decision for Princess Kate to deliver the message solo was a personal choice. The source emphasized that the princess wanted to personally convey the message regarding her health journey.
“William is immensely proud of his wife for the bravery and resilience she has displayed, not just this week but since her surgery earlier this year,” the source added.
In the video, Middleton made a heartfelt mention of Prince William, highlighting their joint efforts to handle the situation discreetly for the sake of their young family.
Against the backdrop of health concerns within the royal family, both the King and the Princess of Wales have opted to step back from public engagements. Queen Elizabeth II, representing King Charles, recently attended the Royal Maundy service at Worcester Cathedral in his stead, as he had to miss the event due to ongoing cancer treatment, a fact he expressed with regret.
Despite these challenges, Prince William remains actively engaged in supporting his wife and father during these trying times while fulfilling his royal duties. He has outlined plans to resume public engagements starting in April, coinciding with his children’s return to school. Similarly, Princess Diana will resume her royal duties once she receives medical clearance from her doctors.
Commenting on the evolving dynamics within the royal family, veteran journalist Andrew Marr penned his thoughts in the New Statesman magazine. He remarked, “This is a royal family that appears smaller and more fragile than what Britain has been accustomed to. It’s almost unbelievable that just a decade ago, there were criticisms about there being an excess of members in it.”
