Major restaurant chain ‘Chic-fil-A’ will no longer have antibotic free chicken

Chick-fil-A recently revealed plans for a significant shift in its chicken sourcing strategy set to take effect this spring. In an update shared on Thursday, the company mentioned that due to supply considerations, they will transition from offering No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) chicken to No Antibiotics Important To Human Medicine (NAIHM) chicken.

The announcement clarified that NAE signifies the complete absence of antibiotics in the animal’s upbringing, while NAIHM permits the use of specific antibiotics crucial to human medicine only when necessary for animal health.

Chick-fil-A’s move to antibiotic-free chicken dates back to 2014, with the chain achieving its objective of serving such chicken across all its restaurants by 2019.

No specific timeline has been provided for the implementation of this change.
