The Federal Prosecutor has decided to open a file on the famous phone call to Simone Inzaghi’s team, despite initially considering not to because of Vice Coach Farris‘ clarification. The numerous media reports have prompted Prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè to investigate further.

Following what happened last Saturday at the Olimpico – with Bastoni’s statements to Dazn about the phone call and then later the assistaint Farris’ denial emphasizing that the coaching staff acted as intermediaries between Inzaghi and the players – it’s more of a formality. It’s unlikely they’ll obtain proof of the prohibited call. Nevertheless, today Chinè will listen to those involved, from Bastoni to Inzaghi, in search of any confirmation and new evidence.
