Leao with a winning mentallity: “My goal is clear, I want to win the Champions League with Milan.”

The forward, interviewed by the Portuguese edition of GQ, spoke about his personal and team goals: “We must continue to improve. I want to win the Champions League with Milan”

Champions League

“We need to keep improving, we are on the right path, having already reached the Champions League semifinals last season. We must continue to get better; I am sure that Milan will soon return to winning the Champions League; it’s our common goal.”

“Speaking for myself: I am young, I am a player who wants to win big things, and I think the Champions League is the dream of every player; that’s what I aim for, that is my goal… we are working towards that,” said Rafael Leao in an interview with the Portuguese edition of GQ.

The forward discussed personal and team goals, not hiding his ambitions: “Our group has already played many Serie A games and more than 20 in the Champions League, so the experience is there. We can achieve important goals together.”

Inter

“The semifinal with Inter? Well they were superior, but… They have a complete team, both in the starting eleven and on the bench. That made the difference, even though we had some absences then.”

His future

On his future the player said: “I love my life at Milan, I wouldn’t have renewed the contract otherwise. I am focused on achieving great things here in the next two or three years.”

Then, regarding Saudi Arabia and the extravagant signings this summer: “I haven’t achieved significant results yet to consider going to a league like that. A Champions League is worth more than a 10 million salary…”
