Our referees must have strength. In the recent days, I got angry because I saw my boys mistreated: I know how hard they work, I know they give their all they bleed for this job and stil they are very mistreated.
They can make mistakes, many times I have made mistakes. “We must have the right to make mistakes and be respected,” said Gianluca Rocchi, the referee designator, during the Vincenzo Orlandini Memorial held in Rome.
“The recent meeting with the coaches was wonderful. Everyone, from amateurs to the top league, expects strength, decisiveness, and intellectual honesty from a referee. If we have these qualities, we lack nothing. And to all referees, I say: let’s love each other,” Rocchi concluded.
