The ‘Giallorossi’ legend has commented on the major summer themes including Romelu Lukaku and who will win this year’s Serie A.
ROMELU LUKAKU
“Romelu Lukaku is a great acquisition for Roma; he has enormous potential and makes the difference. I hope he can establish a connection with Dybala right away, but one player alone cannot make a team. To achieve our goals, we need a complete squad,” said Francesco Totti, former captain of Roma, during an interview on RadioTv Serie A.
WHO WILL WIN SERIE A
Regarding Roma’s chances of winning the league, he added, “There are stronger teams at the moment, Roma isn’t ready to win it. The objective should be to return to the Champions League because they deserve to play on those levels.”
He identified Juventus as the favorite among the teams to win the Serie A Scudetto, stating, “They don’t have European competitions to worry about, and this can make a difference.”
MOURINHO & DYBALA
Speaking about Jose Mourinho, he mentioned, “He is Roma’s secret weapon,” and regarding the number 10 jersey and Dybala, he explained, “I don’t own that jersey, but the next number 10 should know how to respect the club and the fans. Paulo has never asked me for it.”
SPALLETTI
Finally, he wished good luck to Luciano Spalletti, the new coach of the Italian national team, saying, “He will certainly elevate the National Team, and we will see some exciting matches.”
