Inter in talks to sign Maxime Lopez from Sassuolo. Soumaré and Ndombele the alternative

Inter is working to sign a new midfielder: initial contacts have been made with Sassuolo for Maxime Lopez, while interest remains on Boubakary Soumaré, and former Napoli player Ndombele

One last piece to complete the transfer market. Until the transfer deadline (September 1st at 8:00 PM), Inter could acquire a new midfielder to provide another option for Simone Inzaghi’s midfield. It remains to be seen whether Inter would prefer to add a more physical midfielder or one who excels in playmaking.

Maxime Lopez:

At the moment, there are three names that Inter is considering. The first profile plays in Italy, at Sassuolo, and it’s Maxime Lopez: Inter has initiated initial contacts for the French midfielder born in 1997, who is also attracting interest from foreign clubs. However, the excellent relationship between Inter and Sassuolo could be decisive if Inter decides to push ahead. If Inzaghi insists on having a playmaker, then the midfielder from Sassuolo would be the favorite choice.

Tanguy Ndombele:

on the other hand, Inter can opt for a physical central midfielder, then the choice could fall on Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham, who spent the last season on loan at Napoli and was recently sought, albeit unsuccessfully, by Genoa. The player has refused the Genoa destination because he is waiting for a club that will play in the Champions League next season, a condition that Inter is ready to guarantee.

Boubakary Soumaré:

In addition to Maxime Lopez from Sassuolo and Ndombele from Tottenham, Inter is also carefully evaluating Boubakary Soumaré, a defensive midfielder born in 1999 who is leaving Leicester despite having a contract until 2026. The Nerazzurri club has also inquired about him in order to understand and assess the costs and feasibility of the operation.
