Claudio Fenucci, CEO of Bologna, expressed deep bitterness as he spoke to DAZN‘s microphones after the draw with Juventus, which infuriated the Bologna team due to what was seen on the field.
“First of all, I want to compliment the players who played a high-level match. A glaring mistake cost us the victory. That incident that everyone saw, was clear penalty for us and should have led to an expulsion.
I believe it’s disrespectful for Bologna and its fans to have a victory taken away like this. The relationship between VAR and the field needs to be reviewed. The bitterness lies in the fact that we have been working with technology for years, and despite the years passing by, we can’t understand how incidents like this are not reviewed. It’s unbearable; it’s madness.”
After the draw with Juventus, Bologna has 1 point in the Serie A having lost to AC Milan in the first game of the season. Next week the ‘Emiliani’ will face Cagliari at the Dall’Ara stadium.
