UEFA has unveiled the names of the candidates for the Coach and Player of the Year awards for the past season. Spalletti and Inzaghi are among the finalists, while the winner will be announced on August 31.
Simone Inzaghi and Luciano Spalletti are also among the esteemed contenders in the European football governance. UEFA has revealed the names of the three coaches who received the most votes and are currently competing for the Men’s Coach of the Year 2022-2023 award.
The nominees are Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Simone Inzaghi (Inter), and Luciano Spalletti (Napoli). The winner of the award will be announced during the ceremony of the Champions League group stage draw for the 2023-24 season, scheduled for Thursday, August 31st, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Simultaneously, the names of the three players vying for the title of “Men’s Player of the Year” have also been revealed. The contenders are Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium-Manchester City), Erling Haaland (Norway-Manchester City), and Lionel Messi (Argentina-PSG and now Inter Miami). This award will also be announced on August 31st.
