LeBron James breaks the silence on Bronny’s horrible Summer League experience.

In his last Summer League game, Bronny James posted a dismal 3/14 shooting performance with a horrendous 0/8 from three-point range.

Starting in the NBA is tough for any player, especially if you’re the son of one of the greatest in history. This is what Bronny James, the eldest son of the legendary LeBron James, is experiencing.

Many question his talent and believe he isn’t good enough to have signed with the Lakers. His disappointing performance in the first two games of the Las Vegas Summer League is proving his critics right.

In his last game, Bronny had a simply dreadful performance. He finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals, but his shooting accuracy was abysmal: 3/14 from the field and 0/8 from three-point range, ending with a -9 in his team’s plus-minus. This gives plenty of ammunition to those who criticize him.

Bronny Faces the Media After a Bad Game

Despite his tough night, Bronny faced the media after the game: “Iโ€™m just going to watch my performance on video and analyze it. I look at the things I always do and the things I should focus on… Always focusing on playing as hard as I can and taking advantage of any opportunity I get.”

“Iโ€™m just going to watch my performance on video and analyze it… Iโ€™m always going to try to play as hard as I can and take advantage of any opportunity I get.”

So far, his performance doesn’t seem to be convincing the new Lakers coach, JJ Redick. Unless things change drastically, Bronny is likely to spend a lot of time this season with the Lakers’ affiliated team in the G-League. He isn’t showing the level needed to be with his father on the main team unless his game improves significantly.

LeBron Praises His Son for Ignoring Criticism

LeBron James, understandably, doesnโ€™t like seeing his son heavily criticized. Whenever he is asked about it, he gets visibly upset: “I don’t know if people really understand Bronny. He doesn’t care. I care a little.

“When I came in as a rookie, I wanted to please people, and some of the things people said about me bothered me early in my career… Bronny doesnโ€™t give a damn.”

‘King’ James praises his sonโ€™s attitude, seemingly unaffected by the criticism and the attention that comes with being who he is, and for always focusing on improving his game:

Bronny doesnโ€™t care about anyone. He doesnโ€™t even listen to that stuff. Heโ€™s the coolest. Heโ€™s the complete opposite of his father. His father would say something back to the critics. Bronny doesnโ€™t care… All the things said about him, he really doesnโ€™t care,” LeBron commented.
